Position Overview
We are hiring an Estimator/Sales Project Managerâa hybrid role that combines client-facing sales, detailed estimating, and light project management. This is a critical position responsible for guiding projects from initial inquiry through to final installation. You'll interpret blueprints, build relationships, provide bids, and stay actively involved through execution to ensure quality and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating
Interpret blueprints and construction documents to assess project requirements
Perform material and labor takeoffs and define project scope
Determine accurate pricing and prepare competitive, professional bids
Sales & Customer Relationships
Build, manage, and grow relationships with homeowners, builders, and contractors
Represent Thermal Shop with professionalism, integrity, and responsiveness
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to drive business growth
Project Management (Light Oversight)
Serve as the primary point of contact for projects youâve sold, from proposal to post-installation
Conduct job site walkthroughs to verify scope, measurements, and readiness
Be on call during installation days to address issues, questions, or last-minute needs
Ensure jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to Thermal Shop standards
Coordinate with installation crews and internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery
Operations & Reporting
Track project status and provide regular updates to senior leadership
Identify and resolve project challenges proactively
Help improve processes for greater efficiency and better client outcomes
Qualifications
Required:
2+ years of experience in the construction or building materials industry
Proven experience in estimating, project coordination, or sales
Strong communication skillsâverbal and writtenâwith a client-first mindset
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects at once
Ability to read and interpret blueprints confidently
Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
Valid driverâs license and clean driving record
Bachelorâs degree or equivalent experience in construction, business, or related field
Preferred:
Experience with insulation, building science, or residential construction trades
Familiarity with CRM or project tracking tools
High comfort level with fast-paced, field-based work environments
