Our Services
Batt Insulation
Batt insulation is precut insulation material designed to fit nicely in common framing dimensions. Our Batt Insulation service provides a traditional and effective solution for thermal and acoustic applications. Ideal for walls, ceilings, and floors, this flexible insulation option offers excellent resistance to heat flow. Our two main batt insulation options are fiberglass and mineral wool. Fiberglass is the most economical option. Noise transmission often gets overlooked and while a simple fiberglass batt will go a long way, our mineral wool options provide even more sound deadening. Mineral wool batts are also superior in fire resistance, moisture wicking, and are more likely to resist rodent and insects than fiberglass batts.
Blown Fiberglass Insulation
Our Blown Fiberglass Insulation is our most common blown product. Homeowners have this installed in attic, walls, floors, and other spaces. How We Started
Thermal Shop began when founder and President, Jacob Heffernen, realized that he could make a positive impact on people’s homes and buildings through high-quality insulations installs. An Iowan born and raised, who grew up working on various job sites with his family, Jacob learned the insulation trade in much the same way he learned roofing and siding as a young person: in the field. Through managing and inspecting the thermal installation in hundreds of residential and commercial construction sites, Jacob gained a thorough understanding and passion for comfortable and efficient buildings and homes.
Jacob brings a distinctive level of care and commitment to commercial job sites and new home construction. Infusing his professionalism with personal investment, you can often find him on jobs sites doing the hands-on work of installation, as well as advising, teaching, and answering questions.
